The sound produced by the deer call is loud and generally gets the attention of the deer being called.I have found a more favorable (drawing nearer) response from does than I have bucks.In fact, bucks tend to ignore the bleat for the most part.In contrast, I have had does absolutely run to the area of my hunting stand.
I have used several versions of"The Can", including this one.To operate, the can is turned upside down and then uprighted again.The sound is produced with an internal bellows and gravity.In this version, the sound is like that of a doe in heat.
This is a handy product to have while deer hunting.It has never scared off a deer, and often brought them (does) much closer.I think it piques the deer's curiosity and they come closer to investigate.It is a great addition to my hunting gear.For bucks, I prefer a grunt call.
